George Grannis scored two third period goals and Levi Stauber scored a goal and assisted on another to lift the No. 12 Duluth Marshall boys' hockey team past Anoka 6-0 at Mars Lakeview Arena on Wednesday.
Nolan Krenzen scored 31 seconds into the first period on the game's first shot. Stauber added a goal late in the first period to give the Hilltoppers a 2-0 lead.
Willy Stauber made it 3-0 in the second period, and Grannis began the third period with back-to-back goals three minutes apart. Danny Klatt scored the sixth goal of the game halfway through the third period.
Overall, Duluth Marshall outshot Anoka 35-18.
As the host team, Duluth Marshall advances to the semifinals of the 17th Hilltopper Holiday Classic tournament. The Hilltoppers, who are now (7-2-1) will face Brainerd tomorrow at 8 p.m.
