Minnesota Power and Superior Water are dedicated to serving the people of the Northland, but they also play a part in helping communities experiencing disaster nationwide.
According to Minnesota Power spokespeople, nearly 20 lineworkers and support staff from Minnesota Power and Superior Water are being sent to restore power in Puerto Rico, where many people have been living without power for months.
There have been many efforts to restore power in Puerto Rico since hurricanes Irma and Maria hit. Minnesota Power is joining in this industry power restoration mission.
The lineworkers from the company will head over in early January.
