The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office has identified the person who died during an officer-involved shooting incident on Friday in Gilbert.
Authorities say 40-year-old Jeffrey Golnick of Chaska died of gunshot injuries.
The incident happened Friday when officers were trying to find a wanted person.
Officers found a vehicle which they believed was connected to the wanted person in Gilbert around 1:15 p.m.
A chase began and authorities say several shots were fired.
One police officer was shot and injured and Golnick was killed.
The names of officers who discharged their weapons will be available once initial interviews with the officers and any witnesses to the incident are completed early next week.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.
