Christensen-Shuster rink clinches playoff spot at US Mixed Doubles Curling Trials

BLAINE, MN -

Chisholm, Minn. native John Shuster is two wins away from qualifying a second time for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games.

That's after he and Duluth, Minn. native Cory Christensen clinched a spot in the knockout round at the United States Olympic Mixed Doubles Curling Trials, with the semifinals set for Saturday and the final for Sunday.

Shuster and Christensen are (6-1) in the preliminary rounds and have clinched a spot in the 1-2 semifinal, which will be played at 9:00 p.m. Saturday.

Below are the standings of the other Northland natives involved in the Olympic Trials, with mixed doubles curling set to make its Olympic debut at the 2018 PyeongChang Games.
