An extra pair of eyes and ears has joined the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, along with a well-trained nose.
An 18-month old German Shephard named Wesson is the newest K-9 member.
K-9 Wesson is trained in narcotics detection, search and apprehension, and will work with Deputy Ryan Smith in the northern part of St. Louis County.
K-9 Wesson completed a 12-week program last month, and is one of four K-9s working for the Sheriff's Office.
With his addition, the K-9 program is back to full strength within the department.
Wesson was bought and trained with funds donated by the AMSOIL Northland Law Enforcement K-9 Foundation.
