If you're still looking to pick up a fresh Christmas tree, officials say you can get one at the Chippewa National Forest.
Officials will be selling Christmas tree permits for $5 through December 22nd, and can be bought at the forest supervisor's office in Cass Lake.
You can also buy a permit at the ranger districts in Blackduck, Deer River and Walker.
Offices are open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
In addition, one free Christmas tree permit is being offered to fourth-grade students as part of the Every Kid in a Park program.
You must have a student voucher in order to receive the free permit.
After cutting your tree, you're asked to attach the tree permit to a branch before taking it out of the forest.
