The Commemorative Air Force Museum has found a new home in Superior. Earlier this year, they were told to vacate their location at the Duluth Airport because a routine inspection found the building to be unsafe.
This week, the Superior City Council unanimously approved a lease agreement for the CAF to rent a vacant building at the Richard I. Bong Airport.
The building has been unoccupied for about five years now.
The move can begin in the summer of 2018. The museum has to have everything out of their current location by November of next year.
The museum is home to thousands of war artifacts from the Civil War to today.
