The Duluth 2018 City budget was approved Monday night by the city council.
With the newly passed budget, Duluth homeowners local property taxes will now increase 5.7% overall.
Owners of an average-priced $177,000 home will now see a $30 increase in 2018.
Mayor Larson's budget includes $2 million in cuts and an additional $1 million in street repairs.
The city will be pulling $1.6 million from its reserve fund in order to pay for a community solar garden and anticipated overtime costs in the Duluth Fire department relating to pending military deployments in 2018.
