The University of Central Missouri outscored the No. 23 University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team 28-6 in the second half to win the 52nd annual Mineral Water Bowl 38-28 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri on Saturday.
UMD took a 22-10 lead into halftime, but allowed the Mules to score 21 points in the third quarter to take the lead, which was never relinquished.
Quarterback John Larson led the way offensively for the Bulldogs, completing 23-of-47 passes for 371 yards and three touchdowns. Overall, UMD led the Mules in total yardage 528-495.
The loss snaps an eight-game winning streak for the Bulldogs, who end the 2017 season (9-3) overall.
