Man's best friend now has a place to exercise in Superior.
Friday morning, dog owners celebrated the opening of Superior's first dog park with a ribbon cutting.
The park is in the Superior Municipal Forest, at North 28th Street and Wyoming.
the park is meant to give dog's and their owners a place to feel welcome.
"It has a serious impact on this neighborhood, on this city for dog owners. It's a quality of life issue, that helps people to move here, to stay here and to enjoy life in Superior," said Mayor Jim Paine.
The city provided the space, and let community members create the park with their own personal time and money.
