The St. Louis County board is getting ready to set next year's budget, and they want to get your input Thursday.
Earlier this year, the board set the maximum levy at just over $132 million, which is a 4.45 percent increase from this year.
Factoring in an almost equal increase in the property tax base, the estimated impact is 0.5 percent. For the owners of a $150 thousand home, the increase would be .84 cents per year on the county portion of their property taxes.
You can weigh in at 7 p.m. at the Virginia Courthouse.
If you can't make it to this meeting, there's another one scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at the Duluth courthouse.
The Board is expected to vote on the final budget at its Dec. 19 meeting.
