University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) junior right side hitter Sarah Kelly has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) Division II all-Central Region first team, it was announced on Wednesday.
Kelly was the third-most efficient attacker in the country this season, hitting at a .417 clip, and she's just 42 kills away from becoming the 20th UMD player to have 1,000 kills in a career.
She was also named this week to the Division II Conference Commissioners' Association (D2CCA) all-Central Region first team.
Also, UMD senior middle blocker Allison Olley earned honorable mention after hitting for a .391 percentage and posting a team-high 104 blocks this season.
UMD is the No. 5 seed in this year's NCAA Division II Central Regional tournament and will open against No. 4 Northern State, with that match scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Thursday in Marshall, Minn.
