"They do fight hard, so I think like all apex predators in a lake or river, they are pretty strong and aggressive fish."
Paige Dougherty, 22, who was dangling her feet in Island Lake in September, was attacked by a muskie believed to be close to 40 inches long.
Recently, she went through surgery after the bite she received became infected.
While in surgery, surgeons pulled an object out of her foot, which turned out to be a muskie tooth.
Dougherty was one of two people to be attacked by animals in Island Lake this year.
The first attack, which happened in July, is presumed to be from a muskie, but it has *not been confirmed.
