Duluth-based opinion poll finds 68 percent of participants say Franken should not resign

DULUTH, MN -

In a recent online survey created by Duluth-based Zenith Research Group, 68 percent of participants said Sen. Al Franken should not resign immediately. 

The survey, conducted via Survey Monkey, asked a series of questions relating to the recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the democratic US Senator from Minnesota.

Zenith Research Group's website displays the results of the eight question survey, which collected 993 responses.

  • 50 percent said they read the entire apology Franken released.
  • 71 percent said they support an ethics investigation into the Senator's behavior. 
  • 68 percent said Franken should not immediately resign from the Senate.
  • 72 percent said they voted for Franken in the 2014 election.
  • 65 percent said they would likely vote for Franken if he were up for re-election in 2018.
