DULUTH, MN -

Minnehaha Academy scored five goals in the second period on Friday night en route to an 8-3 win over the Duluth Denfeld boys' hockey team at the Heritage Sports Center.

The game, which was the Hunters' season opener, was also the first behind the bench for first-year head coach Dale Jago. After six seasons as an assistant coach at Duluth Marshall, he took over after Kevin Smalley left for Cloquet-Esko-Carlton.

Duluth Denfeld is now (0-1-0) this season.
