More than 145,000 deer were harvested through the second weekend of Minnesota firearms deer season.
According to the DNR, that's a 10 percent increase when compared to the same time last year.
Officials say 54 percent were bucks, compared to 63 percent in 2016.
In Northeastern Minnesota, the DNR says the total firearms harvest was up 25 percent.
Hunters can still bag a deer in Zone 1 through Sunday.
