The Christmas City of the North Parade is just around the corner, and shops in downtown Duluth are busy decorating for the big event.
Starting Monday, red curtains can be seen in storefront's of dozens of businesses throughout Duluth's Downtown Waterfront.
It's all part of the Greater Downtown Council's 12th annual storefront window display and lighting contest.
Everyone is encouraged to vote for their favorite holiday window display, which makes you eligible to win one of a handful of gifts.
"I'm looking forward to seeing other windows, and getting inspired by all these other business owners and what they've created," says Market Day Duluth owner Lanae Rhoads, "so I can't wait to see what they're doing as well."
The holiday displays will be unveiled on Friday, right before the Christmas City of the North Parade.
