PROCTOR, MN -

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of a car fire in Proctor on Wednesday.

Proctor and Hermantown Police and Fire responded around 4:15 Wednesday afternoon to the 9400 block of Mountain Drive, near the intersection of West Skyline Parkway after receiving calls of a car engulfed in flames.

Crews were able to get the blaze out within thirty minutes.

No one was injured, but one witness described what she and her husband saw.

"Yeah, we turned the corner um, and we saw a bunch of black smoke and the car was on fire, just the front passenger side was on fire, and uh, so I called 911 and they, uh, had been getting another call at the same time and then we watched, my husband ran up and asked the, uh owner of the car if he wanted us to do anything and he said he just wanted to let it burn to the ground," said witness Eve Graves.

A photo taken by Graves shows the car engulfed in flames.

Authorities say the fire's origin is unknown at this time.
