DULUTH, MN -

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) volleyball team stayed put at No. 6 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) Division II poll, which was released on Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs split this past weekend, including suffering the program's first 3-0 loss since the 2015 season. That came Saturday afternoon against No. 1 Southwest Minnesota State, which snapped a 53-match streak without being swept.

"We know that match doesn't determine our fate, and we have a lot of good games coming up," junior outside hitter Makenzie Morgen said. "We're really just looking forward to this weekend with two really good matches. That's what makes it fun. We know that every single game will be a battle no matter who you're playing."

UMD is back at home this weekend, hosting MSU-Mankato on Friday and then No. 2 Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday.
