ST. PAUL, MN -

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has ordered all United States flags to be flown at half-staff on all state and federal buildings.

Flags will be flown at half-staff starting immediately, until sunset on Friday, October 6th.

Governor Mark Dayton issued the following statement:

"The terrible attack in Las Vegas has shocked and horrified the conscience of every American.  I urge all Minnesotans and all Americans to call upon our own best natures, put aside our differences, and work for an end to this insane violence.  I also ask for special prayers for the recovery of Minnesotan Phillip Aurich, who was critically wounded in the attack.  His family's Facebook post asks everyone to 'keep Phil, his children Reagan and Ryder, and his parents Mike and Mindy in their prayers."

Lt. Governor Tina Smith also issued a statement on Monday:

"We mourn the terrible loss of life and injury in Las Vegas, resulted from another tragic and senseless act of terror and violence.  Peace be with the families of those who were lost or injured.  I have faith that good people, with good hearts, doing good things, can help heal these wounds and move us forward to real change."
