The parent company of the Ashland Daily Press is closing the printing operation of the paper in Ashland.
According to General Manager David LaPorte, 28 people are affected by the announcement.
All editorial, reporters, business and advertising staff will remain in Ashland. However the paper will now be printed in Eau Claire, and will be sent to the Ashland area every day.
LaPorte says all 28 employees who will be affected by the closure are being offered transfers to one of three different printing facilities.
He adds it's too early to know how many will transfer.
