Duluth leaders are asking people to imagine Canal Park with all its potential as a local, statewide, and regional destination.

It's all part of the "Imagine Duluth 2035" process, which aims to improve all aspects of the city, from transportation, to economic development.

On Tuesday, people were invited to the "Imagine Canal Park" community launch party across from Little Angie's. Organizers say they hope to hear from everyone on how to build upon Canal Park's successes, and fix what isn't working.

"We can't make the choices for our community without asking them how they use the space, and how they want us to use funding sources to be able to improve them," Kate Van Daele, a planner with the city, "we want people to love living in Duluth, and enjoy being here, and want to plan their future here."
