Construction work at Duluth's two airports is expected to get underway later this summer.
Duluth International Airport's runway is being reconstructed in three phases.
Details for the $30 million dollar project that will replace the 60-year-old runway are still being finalized, but no disruption to commercial air traffic is expected.
The project, which kicked off last year, is set to wrap up in 2018.
Meanwhile, Sky Harbor's runway is being realigned to remove tree penetrations, and rotated into Superior Bay.
The $12 million project is expected to be completed in 2019.
