It may not feel like the dog-days of summer outside in Duluth, but inside the DECC is a whole other story.
The annual Duluth Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show is underway in Canal Park.
The show is the region's largest all breed show, and handlers and their dogs come from all across the United States and Canada.
Over 700 dogs will compete each day to earn the title "top dog", or Best in Show.
"To get a dog ready you start really when they're puppies. You train them. They look like they're just taking a walk in the park and people don't realize that these dogs have a lot more training than what the eye might see after they're polished and in the ring," said Carolyn Lichty, President of Duluth Kennel Club.
The competition runs daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Sunday.
