Another round of layoffs was announced Thursday for the parent company of Duluth-based maurices.
Ascena retail says 29 positions will be eliminated in Duluth over the next year.
Impacted individuals include certain positions in the Human Resources and Financial Services departments.
Ascena says the layoffs are part of the company's move to become more cost-efficient.
Including Thursday's announcement, about 50 people between Maurices and its parent company ascena have been impacted in the Duluth area.
Thursday's announcement is the latest in a wave of cuts since January, totaling 480 corporate-wide.
A company spokeswoman says most of the positions are corporate and don't impact their 8 brands or stores.
