UPDATE: Beaches added, removed from advisory list

DULUTH, MN -

Elevated E. coli bacteria levels are hampering beaches around the Northland.

The Minnesota Department of Health has issued no water contact recommended advisories for the following beaches:

  • Minnesota Point Harborside/15th Street Beach - harbor-side of Park Point in Duluth at 15th Street.
  • Grand Marais Downtown Beach - Grand Marais

Clyde Avenue Boat Landing Beach and the Duluth Lakewalk Beach, which were bot under advisories, are now listed as safe for swimmers.

Kreher Beach and Maslowski Beach in Ashland, Wisconsin also now have regular bacteria levels. 

If you become sick after coming in contact with beach water, you're asked to contact the Minnesota Department of Health at 1-877-366-3455. 

Beach monitoring sites for Minnesota and Wisconsin are also available.
