A "HeatWave" fell over Duluth Wednesday afternoon as Doritos used an aerial team to drop a new flavor of chips over the the city.
By way of two helicopters and a professional aerial stuntman, Doritos dropped in hundreds of bags of their new product in a crate while its "delivery man" performed aerial stunts.
The actual drop happened at 12:30 p.m., although aerial performers began their descent on Bayfront Festival Park at 11:30 a.m.
The drop coincides with the launch of "HeatWave," which according to Doritos, are the company's new chips with a sweet and smoky flavor and then an "explosion" of fiery heat.
According to Bob Gustafson with Visit Duluth, Doritos chose Duluth because it is one of the "coolest cities in the country."
