McDonald's to overhaul ice cream desserts

Posted: Updated:

McDonald's is revamping its ice cream treats, removing artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives from its vanilla soft serve.

The soft serve is used to make the fast-food giant's popular vanilla cone, McCafé shakes, and McFlurry desserts.

The change impacts 60 percent of the desserts McDonald's serves.

McDonald's says its chocolate and strawberry McCafé shake syrup has no high fructose corn syrup and the whipped topping served on all three flavors of shakes is made with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
