The 2017 season is shifting into gear for the Proctor Speedway, just outside of Duluth.
The season just started last night and it's here for only 4 months. Every Sunday from now until the end of August, Northlanders have a chance to make it to the track.
The track is made of red clay and there are many different types of trucks that can race on it. Last night, they kicked off their 68th season opener and this Sunday they'll hold the "Northern Renegade Traditional Sprint Cars PLUS."
All of their races can be tracked on their website.
