Georgia Fort is a Morning Anchor for KBJR 6 in Duluth, MN. The St. Paul native began her ascent into the world of multimedia journalism as a radio broadcast personality for 89.9 KMOJ FM, a non-profit radio station in the Twin Cities. After four years, Georgia transitioned into commercial broadcasting accepting a position on Foxie 105's morning show in Columbus, GA where she later branched off as a news reporter and weekend anchor.
Before transitioning into television full-time, the University of St. Thomas graduate garnered several opportunities to appear on national television networks including BET, ShopNBC and Evine.
With a wealth of experience and a desire to keep creating milestones on the road ahead, she continues to be an advocate of education as the national spokeswoman for Remington College, an ambassador for Faith's Lodge, a non-profit for bereaved families and the host of National Crime Victims Rights Week. Her work with the United Negro College Fund on their Empower Me Tour, has been an incredible gateway to her passion for public speaking where she participates on panels illustrating to young girls how hard work and dedication are the tools for success. With an unbridled desire to affect the world in a positive way, Georgia is at the forefront of a strong promise in media and philanthropy.
