Mild temperatures welcomed a sign of the holidays in downtown Duluth Thursday.
Minnesota Power crews placed the annual community Christmas Tree at the Lake Superior Plaza.
The 60-foot-tall, 55-year-old white spruce was donated by a Lincoln Park family.
About 6,000 LED lights will be strung on the tree in the coming week.
The 32nd annual tree-lighting ceremony happens Friday, November 18th right just before the 58th annual Christmas City of the North Parade.
You can catch both events live on KBJR 6.
