Joe Biondi grew up on Lake of the Woods in Warroad, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a degree in Business Management. While at UMD, he also played four years of hockey for the Minnesota Duluth Bulldog hockey team.
He began his television career in 1995 after finishing an internship in the sales department at KBJR and spent ten years as an Account Executive. Joe was a four year President’s Club winner and awarded the Account Executive of the year in 2001 by Granite Broadcasting. In 2002, Joe was promoted to regional sales manager for Range 11, the NBC affiliate serving the Iron Range. In 2004, he was named the Local Sales Manager for the stations. His years in the industry have led to building strong business relationships with many clients across the region and within the market.
Joe is an active community member and has served on various boards and committees, many for UMD athletics and as President of the Hermantown Amateur Hockey Association for ten years. He loves fishing on Lake of the Woods, hunting and time spent with family and friends. Joe lives in Hermantown with his wife, Kelly, their son, Blake and twin daughters, Kellyn and Lauryn.
