MILWAUKEE (AP) - Two men are dead after a car went off an interstate off-ramp in downtown Milwaukee and crashed into a bridge pillar. Emergency crews responded to the I-794 off ramp crash shortly after 2 a.m. Friday. Both occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene. They were not immediately identified. The investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Some vehicle-struck deer aren't getting removed from Wisconsin highways as quickly as they're being run down, as officials adjust to a new carcass pickup system. A provision in the state budget transferred responsibility for picking up dead deer from the Department of Natural Resources to the Department of Transportation. The change took effect in September, and The Capital Times reports it appears some officials weren't aware of the switch.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Some Army and Air National Guard soldiers from Wisconsin who helped with the response to Hurricanes Irma and Maria over the past three months have returned home. Nearly 20 soldiers and two Black Hawk helicopters deployed to the U.S. Virgin Islands for a medevac mission are back, along with four airmen who were sent to help with airfield management in Puerto Rico.

TWIN LAKES, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man suspected of killing two men after a bar fight in Kenosha County on the Wisconsin border with Illinois. The Monroe County Sheriff's Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol say they arrested the suspect in Tomah, Wisconsin early Friday after he fled the scene of the shooting. Witnesses told investigators the two victims and the suspect had been fighting before the shooting 2 a.m. Friday in the parking lot outside of Beach Bar in Twin Lakes.
