MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Carver County prosecutors have agreed to provide Prince's siblings with documents connected to their investigation into his death. John Goetz, an attorney for Prince's siblings, says he expects prosecutors will provide the medical examiner's autopsy investigation this week and the remaining investigative files next week. Goetz wants the files so his clients can determine whether civil claims are warranted. They have to keep the data confidential. Prince died in 2016 of a drug overdose.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Bail has been cut from $500,000 to $400,000 for a fired Minneapolis police officer charged with murder in the shooting of an unarmed Australian woman. Mohamed Noor made his first court appearance Wednesday in the July death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, who had called 911 to report a possible sexual assault behind her home. The judge set his next court date for May 8.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Democratic Rep. and former gubernatorial candidate Paul Thissen is a finalist for the Minnesota Supreme Court. Thissen was one of several high-profile names on the shortlist released Wednesday to replace Justice David Stras, who was confirmed to the federal bench earlier this year. Dayton's former Department of Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson, now a Minnesota Court of Appeals judge, is also in the running.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul police say a student with a loaded handgun has been arrested at Como Park High School. The 16-year-old student was arrested shortly after 8 a.m. at the start of the school day Wednesday. Police spokesman Steve Linders says it's unclear why the student had a 9 mm gun on him. Police found the gun in the student's waistband and confiscated the weapon without incident. Police say there were no threats directed at students or staff.
